My Project

Stencils are a great resource for the art room; they give kids a guide to follow independently without thinking they need me for everything.

Stencils are especially helpful for the younger grades, but even my older kids enjoy using them.

Younger students get a boost of confidence when using them and making "a perfect square". It is a joy to watch them explore and create with stencils, because the insecurity of whether or not they can draw a shape is removed.

They are a great tool to break out when change is needed or just for fun on the day before a vacation.
