it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
I have found that many of our children have never had the experience of crayon rubbings, searching for leaves or keys and rubbing them onto paper, or creating designs by tracing the outlines of pre-cut shapes. These experiences were typical in my youth and I want my children to learn and grow with these fine motor skills and art techniques. They will learn to use other materials and supplies to add to their designs. It is a building technique, learning and growing with each experience developing their fine motor skills. These stencils and rubbing plates help my students with their fine motor skills, art skills, coordination, and tracing abilities.
Stencils and textured rubbing plates expose children to fine motor development skills and art experiences that are the foundation for other learning skills.
I am amazed to learn that my children have not ever done a crayon rubbing, made glue textured plates, or used stencils to create outlines for designs. I hope to give them these experiences.
I will be changing to a new grade level next year, moving to TK, and I hope to fill my new classroom with tools for success. Having quality stencils and texture plates will encourage and inspire my students to be creative and use their hands to improve their muscular development. Thank you for considering my class and my students for your donation.
