My Project

STEM stands for Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math, but what STEM education focuses on is much more than these subjects. The focus of STEM education is how these subjects relate to each other and how they can be used to solve real-world problems.

Having a Bambu Labs A1 3D printer in our classroom maker space will allow students to use STEAM concepts to bring their creations to life.

Students will gain 21st-century skills for the jobs of the future. Having access and practice with this technology at a young age can help to spark the passion for learning that all educators hope to create in our students. My classes and after-school clubs will benefit from having the ability to 3D print and the Bambu brand is one of the most reliable and durable printers available.

Creating solutions to real-life problems is one of the advantages of 3D printing. The 3D design process using computer-assisted design software (CAD) will incorporate math, engineering, and critical thinking skills. Not only will they learn the design process but they will also be able to see their own designs become a reality. Students will learn skills that are necessary for their future careers and will also gain stamina to stick with a problem even when things get hard and don't work out, or print, just the way they planned.
