My Project

I am currently a third grade social studies and science teacher at our elementary school in Washington, D.C. Our scholars are some of the brightest in the city! In science, we like to make science fun by participating in hands-on learning labs to understand real-life concepts!

STEM bins are a developmentally appropriate, hands-on learning activity that promotes problem solving, creativity, and practice with fine motor skills. Scholars are given a STEM-inspired, real-life challenge and then use the manipulatives to problem solve. By using unique manipulatives, such as pattern blocks, dominoes, pipe cleaners, and cubes, our scholars will be encourages and challenged to think in nontraditional and innovative ways.
