Help me give my students one set of Magna-Tiles, magnetic blocks for STEMtastic fun!
FULLY FUNDED! Ms. Kahan's classroom raised $175
This project is fully funded
My Students
I am the STEM/computer science teacher at a school in New York. The vast majority of my students are from low socio-economic backgrounds and face many hardships in their daily lives.
My students are energetic and curious, and they motivate me to create new and exciting ways to keep them engaged every single day.
They love coming into my STEM classroom because they know they will be challenged to think outside the box with a hands-on task they must work together to solve.
My Project
Magna-Tiles provide hours upon hours of STEMtastic engineering fun! Each tile edge is magnetic so students can connect them to build anything they desire.
With these Magna-Tiles, students can create mazes, buildings, bridges, towns, and anything they can imagine!
In addition, Magna-Tiles are a great resource with computer science and coding basics for younger students. They would be able to use these tiles to create mazes and navigate their robot through their engineered creations. More advanced students love Magna-Tiles, as well. They can engineer more complex buildings and mazes and then code their robots out of their Magna-Tile creations.
More than three‑quarters of students from low‑income households
