This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

Fifth graders have many challenges. They have to handle being mature with more rigorous course work in addition to all of that pesky hormone stuff. One of the biggest challenges is having to take the state test for Science. Testing on all of science up to 5th grade?! Good grief!

By funding this campaign, you are helping me prepare my kiddos with hands on activities and non fiction reading in the area of science to help them tackle the state test.

Hands on activities help the students see the action, not just read about it, which helps those who aren't exactly visual learners. The non fiction reading comprehension cards in Science will help the students practice their reading in the way it is presented in the test.
