Help me give my students exciting books for our math and science classroom that will spark an interest in topics such as mathematics, engineering, architecture, and science.
My football-themed classroom is a place full of energy and excitement where MVP students eagerly enter each day ready to "tackle" their learning tasks. All students at my school receive free breakfast and lunch, and many also receive food from a local church to take home for the weekends. You would never guess the hardships my students face by watching them in our classroom. They are happy, helpful, and hardworking. Learning is truly a team effort in our class, and we consider every single player a vital part of our team.
My Project
This year, I teach math and science to 35 incredible third graders who are eager to learn all they can. They simply can't get enough information and are very proud when they return from the school library with a science or math-themed book.
I hope to provide my students with a class library filled with literature about math and science that will both spark their interest in these subjects as well as develop a lifelong love of reading.
We have STEAM Fridays in class. My students are always eager to share the new math or science topic they have discovered in a book from our school library. This project will bring the topics straight to our classroom and into their hands.
