My Students

I love my school and my middle school students. My eighth grade students are bright and curious. They are caring and courageous. My students are eager to learn.

In our uniqueness lies our strength.

My students are wonderfully diverse. My school is in a large suburban community. The school serves 836 students in grades 6 through 8. The majority of the students (54%) are classified as economically disadvantaged. The student body is culturally diverse.

My students have a variety of interests and abilities. They are leaders in our school and community. As they grow and mature, my students will venture out to make a positive impact on our world!

My Project

My middle school students are excited to work on lab activities. The messier the activity, the more they enjoy them. As their teacher, it is my responsibility to ensure that their learning is fun, but safe. The lab safety equipment in my 8th grade classroom is showing the wear and tear of many years of good use.

My students need some updated equipment in better condition to ensure safety for all during STEM and science activities.

My middle school students need new eye protection, aprons, and gloves. We also need adequate storage for this equipment to help keep it in good condition for many more years.
