This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

My students are 6th through 8th grade students that are enrolled in my mathematics classes. My school site is situated in an urban community. My students' math skills range in varying levels of mathematical concept development and skill level. My students also range in English language skills from English being their first language to students who are learning the language. The students I service are from low to mid-socioeconomic homes. They are eager learners who strive to do their best!

My Project

With COVID-19, learning and teaching changed from one week to another. I teach 6th-8th grade math in a gifted STEM magnet school and I need to enrich their online and hybrid learning. Being part of a STEM magnet, I need to incorporate science, technology, and engineering into my daily math lessons. My students use some math platforms for independent tasks and I provide them with daily live and interactive lessons for math instruction. I develop and deliver digital lessons and activities to support and enrich my students' daily learning by providing them with interactive slides, video clips, review tasks, and summative projects which can all be done online and shared via an iPad. This resource would allow me to provide all that to my math students. Thank you in advance for your support!
