STEMing out to the real world. A playground for ideas.
My students need a number of hands-on kits that can augment and help cement the basics of physics, math and technology using Newton's Law kit, Levers& Linkages, Salt/ Water fuel cell to mention a few.

Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
My students form a fantastic school. They come from various cultural backgrounds and languages, creating a truly unique and diverse classroom. Many of them lack access to technology in the home which motivates us to provide these tools for our students even more. They are funny, dedicated, brilliant, kind, inquiring minds who rise to any academic challenge presented to them.
My students are TK-5th graders who need stimulating academic exposures to help solidify the subject content they are learning.
We learn together in a large K-5 school that does the best it can for our highly motivated population.
Our school has a growing ELL population and high needs for differentiation and authentic learning experiences. Our school is a family of teachers, support staff and learners that truly care about one another and work together to deliver the best for each and every one of our students.
My Project
My students need an opportunity to problem solve and work collaboratively with others creating and inventing. These opportunities will help showcase the skills my students will need to become learners, and workers of the future. Students will use the robotic kits, and building bridges to put to practice engineering concepts and the Keva Plank Set, Lever and Linkages will be used for students to imagine, design and create structures using physics concepts.
Inquiry is promoted and being different is welcomed.
The media maker space computer lab room is a place where students have an opportunity to explore and conduct research. The learning space we are designing will serve and allow students to feel free to engage in problem solving by getting comfortable when making mistakes by conducting experiments. My goal is to build on these qualities this school year.
