Help me give my students STEM experience using magnets, butterfly larvae and by engineering a coaster.

Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
The almost 900 students at our school live in a low-income neighborhood with limited access to basic school supplies. We are a Title I school with almost all of the students qualifying for free breakfast and free lunch each day. On average, 2-3 students in my classroom are considered homeless and struggle to find suitable housing. They qualify for assistance through The McKinney Vento Homeless Assistance Act.
Although my students have limited access to resources, they are enthusiastic to come to school each day to learn many new standards.
I look forward to giving my students many of the much-needed supplies this year by asking the generous donors to provide these supplies.
My Project
This year, my principal suggested that we use one of the extra classrooms on campus to create a STEM room for the students on campus.
I would like to have three stations set up in the STEM room.
One station will be so children can interact with various magnets, the second station will be more seasonal so they can watch a butterfly emerge from its chrysalis, and the third station will be to engineer a coaster.
Each week, classes in the upper grade will be invited to rotate through the stations in the STEM room. Our plan is to offer various science standards for all students to have a hands-on and interactive experience. The magnets will be hands-on as well as the engineer a coaster station. The butterflies will be there for observation through the various stages of the lifecycle.
