Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
I teach at a public school and I am a 4th grade teacher this year. My class is full of fun, bright, energetic, and curious students.
My students come from diverse backgrounds and have different learning styles.
Engaging, hands-on learning activities are the secret to our success, and so I am always switching things up and looking to add materials to my classroom to meet their needs.
My students are excited about learning, explaining their thinking, sharing what they know, and experiencing the world around them.
They work hard, help others, and play hard.
No matter what we are learning about, my students fearlessly dive into the topic and give it their all. I take pride in creating an atmosphere of respect, love, and taking chances. I am thrilled to be able to provide meaningful learning experiences, and through them instill a love of learning, teach them to care for and help others, and help them to be a person who positively contributes to our local and global communities.
These materials are to help my students learn new concepts of math, as well as getting hands-on learning with science projects.
Not all students learn the same way, some are visual, some are hands-on and some are able to just listen and get to work.
Having these tools will provide hands-on experiences and math tools for my students to use as an added tool for curriculum comprehension.
These are tools students will be able to use during our class projects or classroom lessons. Kids use manipulatives to understand math, as we use them for division, subtraction, multiplication and addition.
