All of my students are on an IEP and learn best with hands-on activities. STEM through the year provides students with hands-on learning on their level. Students will be engaged in social skills, problem-solving, and relating Science, Technology, Engineering, and Engineering to read aloud books. A complete STEM read-aloud bundle from TpT provides students with journal writing pages, a plan for STEM relating to each read-aloud book, and reflections of their STEM projects.

My class will start the second semester reading “Pip Penguin” and then make an igloo out of marshmallows and using tin foil to form a penguin standing in only four marshmallows. Later in the semester students will listen to a book about mazes then use straws, marbles, and shoe boxes to create a marble maze.
