This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
My students are budding scientists and artists. They enjoy being out in nature and notice what they observe on the playground. They often tell me that they love to draw and it makes me smile as they are constantly bringing in their latest drawings to share with me.
Students would love the opportunity to see the life cycle of a butterfly and sketch their observations in their sketchbooks.
I am requesting butterfly larvae so students can see how a butterfly grows from the beginning stage until its metamorphosis into a beautiful butterfly. The markers and sketchbooks will help them to capture the life stages of the butterfly as well as any other creative ideas that come to their minds.
