Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
I have an energetic and fun-loving group of Kindergarten students this year. I teach a total of 42 students - 21 in the morning and 21 in the afternoon. They come from homes of poverty and we are a Title I school.
My students are curious and fascinated by the world around them!
They keep me on my toes for sure, and I am always looking for new strategies and ways to teach and motivate them!
I would love to have the chance to open the doors for these little ones and change their lives! I am constantly striving to teach better and to help my students learn more! I am constantly on the lookout for the best activities to teach my students. I strive to help them better themselves each and every day!
My Project
Get Your Teach On is a one-of-a-kind teaching conference that was created a few years ago by Deanna Jump and Hope King to help motivate teachers and use research-based strategies to ignite the spark in teachers classrooms! The presenters share their passion of teaching and give best practices and teacher secrets to build a successful and engaging classroom. Teachers from all over the country attend this conference and have left feeling empowered, motivated, and prepared to create dynamic lessons that challenge students.
This year is my 18th year teaching Kindergarten, and I would love some new tips, ideas and strategies to ignite the spark in my classroom!
I teach Math, Science and STEM activities in my classroom. I love when I see my Kindergarten students get excited about Math and Science! I love watching them create, build and problem solve! STEM encourages students to think outside of the box and be creative. I would love to learn new STEM activities to help my students grow and nurture their love of learning!
I have always wanted to attend this conference, but have never had the funds. It is in Texas this year, I would love the chance to attend this 4-day conference!
