My Project

My students LOVE being able to move around the room to work. It doesn’t matter if it’s on their own, for partner reading, or sitting together working in small groups. I see the excitement on their faces and their determination to stay focused even more so when they get to choose their own seats. They especially enjoy our classroom rug, and I do my best to foster this enthusiasm as often as possible. The only problem is the rug isn’t big enough to give students the space they need to do their best work. These floor cushions and wiggle seats, along with STEM kits such as Picasso Tiles and Plus Plus blocks, are an investment in both the comfort and learning enrichment for my incredible students. I believe that a conducive learning environment plays a crucial role in academic success and overall well-being.

By introducing flexible seating options, students are empowered to choose a setting that best suits their individual needs, whether they do their best in a cozy, cushioned corner or prefer the dynamic engagement offered by a wiggle seat.

Offering these materials to my students is an opportunity to transform our already amazingly hardworking classroom into a nurturing and inspiring space for all. The addition of STEM kits will further enrich their educational experience, fostering creativity, problem-solving skills, and a love for exploration in science and engineering.
