My Students

Hello everyone! I teach 3rd grade in a Title 1 Elementary school. My students thrive with hands-on experiences to enhance their learning. My hopes of joining DonorsChoose is to provide my well-deserving students resources essential to whole-brain learning and fueling them with the desire to be life-long learners!

My Project

I am asking for various materials that our class will need throughout the year to complete different STEM activities. We use STEM to connect all of the standards and have fun while doing so. The materials that we are asking for are essential to completing STEM projects. We need playdough and toothpicks to get hands on and create 3-D shapes while we learn about faces, vertices, and edges. Sometimes, the students get the chance for free and open play to become inventors and create their prototype. We will use the leggos and building blocks for that. Each material comes with a purpose that will be in the hands of my students as we learn to create, design, problem solve, and improvise!
