This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
The Makey Makey kit is an excellent combination of supplies for my students to create and design their ideas. They will be able to utilize technology and gain design experience while being guided through the engineering process.
Students will gain hands-on experience utilizing real life tools and techniques.
They will realize that if they can dream it they can create it with technology, tools and supplies.
The open ended aspect of engineering and creativity will be fostered with the supplies requested. It is the best way to invest in our dreamers for the future. As a prior physics teacher (for the last 23 years), I am excited to teach these ideas to second graders and bring STEM to the classroom. With a tiny classroom budget, we could really use the help in securing the supplies needed.
