This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
During the beginning of the year in Kindergarten, students are eager to explore and experience their new space. We are building routines in these early days. It is important that students have access to engaging materials that stretch their thinking. It is also important that students know how and where to access these materials.
These STEM-inspired materials and manipulatives will help to support this early exploration time, and the organizational cabinets and bins will help to make sure that everything has a place.
Students will engage in sorting, building, designing, and creating with these new materials. When they work together, they will also be building relationships with peers and learning how to solve problems together.
