My Students

Fourth grade is a huge year for kids to grow and explore the world. My students are extremely curious and kind humans who love to learn about others and the world. They love to use hands-on materials to understand difficult concepts and to problem solve. Within my classroom, we have over a dozen languages and cultures represented. Our classroom diversity provides an amazing environment for us all to learn from each other every day. As a community, we strive to think critically and treat one another with respect and kindness! It is essential that we have the community materials we need to learn and grow together.

My Project

"Why does this happen?" "But, what if we tried this way?" 4th graders are curious about everything! They want to explore and test ideas as they learn. These STEM materials will support students to learn about the engineering process and grow their critical thinking skills. They will work together on these challenges and support each other's learning as we go.

Every student deserves access to STEM learning!

This project will give opportunities for all my students to see themselves as architects, scientists, engineers, and mathematicians. The Brain Flakes and Straw Constructors will support students' building and design skills. The ThinkFun Laser Maze, Gravity Kit, and Circuit Maze will build students' critical thinking skills and help them understand bigger concepts.
