STEM Squad, Future Builders Club!

My students need hands-on projects like the LEGO Simple Machines kit. The Balloon Race Cars will be raced using LEGO tracks! We can't wait to get it ROLLING!!

My Students

I teach at a small, Title 1, public school that has an awesome student body! Our school is in a rural setting with many migrant farm-working families, we are a low-income school with high expectations!

My kids are so amazing and ready to learn new things, I try to challenge them every day!

I am so excited to watch them grow and learn! My goal is to have every student ready for third grade and beyond when they leave my classroom. We work hard to instill values, encourage community, and create an environment where they feel safe and loved.

I am so honored to spend each day with these awesome children. I can't wait to see where they can go and what they can accomplish!

My Project

I am starting a STEM club, the "STEM SQUAD!" I will challenge students to design, create, and problem-solve in many different real-life situations. I want to give them the tools and knowledge to build the future! These students would not have this opportunity at home, many are on free and reduced lunches. I want to give them a glimpse into what THEY could BE!!

I would like to encourage the next generation of scientists and engineers!

They will build robots, like the Solar Can Robot, and create obstacle courses to run our robots. The Balloon Racers will race on student-designed tracks. We will study and build Simple Machines so that we can improve our designs! We can't wait to start, and get our Future Builders thinking!
