This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

I work at a Title I school where most of my students have never had access to 3D printing until they come to my classroom. All students at my school are entitled to a free lunch.

I am looking to replace the 3D printer in our classroom with working models because our printer is no longer viable and we are stopped from making the real world items that my students are researching.

I want my students to have access and experience with all kinds of technologies that will be a daily part of their future.

Previously, my students have made everything from desktop pencil holders to a large multiple part rocket ship! Now, students need a new 3D filament based printer and new spools of PLA filament as the material, once used, needs to be replaced. I am asking for a selection of different filaments that will capture and spark student creativity.
