Want to be a part of developing future scientists of the world? My students are absolutely enthralled by participating in our recently integrated STEM program. We would love to continue further hands-on learning of our science curriculum.
My students are truly overall the sweetest group that I have had the privilege of teaching!
We attend a Title 1 school, and most of my students come from homes in which there aren't many educational opportunities. Often when they come to my classroom for the first time they have been more focused on survival skills instead of classroom education. They are extremely motivated to learn and have blossomed this far regarding participating in hands-on challenges. They bring in recycled materials weekly so we can continue to flourish in our learning activities. They don't have many monetary resources in their lives, but they are able to separate from that when they're enriched and involved in our classroom community.
My Project
The resources that I've applied for will enrich my students lives by allowing them to continue their love for hands-on learning. They will be able to move forward in their understanding of our science standards and feel more successful. My students need to make a real connection with their learning so they have more incentive to pursue further dreams. By using the materials that I've requested they will be able to learn at a higher ability level than just reading and seeing images in their textbooks. My students will have opportunities at learning experiences that they've never had before. This will allow them to learn more, make better grades, perform higher on standardized tests, and take more pride in their education.
This project is so important to me because my students deserve the best education.
They have worked so hard this school year and have found a new love for learning through hands-on activities. I hope to instill a passion for education in these children that will last will a lifetime. I want to expose them to as many learning opportunities as possible to enhance their interests to allow them to have confidence that they can be anything they want to be in the future.
