Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

My eighth graders are absolutely incredible. I am privileged to have this group of scholars. We are continuing to study the physical sciences, and their passion for learning is amazing to witness.

These students are driven to succeed in science and need your help to fully understand advanced physics concepts.

Your donation will help synthesize everything we have learned this year, and will help promote interest in science for future students as well. Chicago Public Schools are severely underfunded. It is not right that my students of color do not have access to the same resources as their white, suburban, more affluent peers. Your donation will help to level the playing field.

I want these students to pursue college and career opportunities in the STEM fields. Many of them do as well, and are constantly asking me questions about college and graduate school, in addition to applying to STEM high schools. Help promote science inquiry with these students so they can pursue their dreams.

My Project

I love physics! It is absolutely my favorite thing to teach. Since taking it in college, I become enthralled. I had a professor who made it hands-on, and now I want to do the same for my own students.

My students need these forces and motion kits to be prepared for high school, college, and careers in STEM!

This Carolina kit will help my scholars to learn about forces, Newton's Laws, and energy! By providing hands-on equipment to my students, I not only hope to get them as enthusiastic as myself, but to also be extremely prepared for science education in years to come!
