My Project
The many Lego sets added to my cart will help students to think and create independently. Many of the Lego steps come with step by step instructions so students have to be able to read directions and complete the step to be able to create something beautiful. Legos are also great because they can let students explore and build from their imagination. Legos are the number one requested item when students walk into the STEM room. I also added a solar powered kit. I would like to expand my STEM room to be a belt to give students opportunities to create and/or solve problems by using different sources of power (solar, wind, etc.).
My goals for this project is to be able to expand the STEM room to accommodate more students at a time.
Right now, I am limited on the number of kits, sets, and materials. At this time, I am only able to have a limited number of students at a time because I don’t have enough kits, sets and/or materials to accommodate a bigger number.
The students at my school are special because many of them never have the opportunity to leave the town. The resources are very limited and more than half of the students live below the poverty level.
