Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

I am requesting a variety of building blocks and interlocking blocks to build animals, buildings, and anything they can create using their imagination. Students will follow a picture diagram showing them step-by-step how to build each item. They will be developing their sequencing skills and will learn to build things with picture directions.

I am also requesting a robot game that uses a spinner to build a robot step by step.

Students can play in teams of four. Each robot is a unique creation and they must follow directions to attach each piece of their robot. Finally, I am requesting a coding mouse robot that uses colors and arrows to move the mouse in one direction at a time. For example, if the students want the mouse to turn left, they hit the left button one time. In short, students will learn basic coding to move their robot through an obstacle course. Thank you for considering our STEM (science, Technology, Engineering, and math) project!
