My Students
My students are so excited to return to school and get back to having hands-on STEAM experiences in our Innovation Lab. We will delve into 3D printing, robotics, and programming, as well as many other hands-on projects. It is so fun to watch their faces light up when they see the results of their own creations.
The students are curious and creative, imaginative, and innovative.
I love hearing their new ideas. We are a diverse school with many cultures and languages, and STEAM experiences are great at bringing everyone together for a common goal.
My Project
My students love learning about STEM. Now that we are distance learning, it's so important for them to have hands-on projects that they can do away from the computer screen. In our classes, even online, we have positive behavior rewards systems, where students can earn "money" for good and positive behavior during class and independent times.
Students can save and use to their behavior rewards dollars to purchase extra STEM supplies for their at-home maker kits.
The supplies purchased in this project will go towards making STEM kits, with projects that involve claymation, learning about music and vibration by making their own harmonicas with straws, craft sticks and rubber bands, and a fun bubble blowing activity that teaches about the invention of bubble gum.
