My Project

This project will allow students to work together to complete a task that will teach them how to use the catapult launcher to write and solve Quadratic equations produced from data collected during the lesson. The race cars will allow students to collect data from trial runs to be able to compete on race day. The results will then be processed and analyzed only to produce radical equations with solutions.

The goal is to make a connection that will allow students to master a skill that tends to give students issues.

The connection from being hands on will create more productivity than typical question and answers lessons.

My students vary in career paths and backgrounds. The opportunity to work together, reason, and analyze will produce students who will grow in areas that will better prepare them to be successful for employers in the real world.
