This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
Our planet's future is in the hands of young environmentalists. Without my prompting, I find that children are very aware of the impact humans have on the Earth. This brings me optimism because I know they are the future scientists who will create alternative solutions for human consumption and they will work to mitigate environmental distress.
Engaging in science experiments that examine phenomenons like climate change, or testing water filtration methods; students will be able to make connections between human life and factors that may be harming our planet.
Additionally, students in my class will be able to use their engineering skills to make creations out of cardboard while using child-safe tools and hardware. These constructions have potential to be a part of our opera sets in the future.
