This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
Please help me provide my first graders with STEM organization and resources to help them practice and master concepts such as number sense and critical thinking. I am asking for a bookcase and storage containers to organize their math/science materials.
My goal is to have a central place for students to gather materials and resources they need in order to practice their science and math skills.
The chair mat is going to be used to cover the wires and plugs at the station to ensure the safety of my students during their center time. The growth mindset and diversity posters will be hung in the station to promote self-awareness and inclusion. All the resources at this center will help my first-grade students develop a strong foundation critical for science and mathematical learning. This center will be accessed during small groups. My goal is for them to develop a strong foundation in numeracy, a love for numbers, and to help build strong critical thinking skills.
