Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

I am requesting an electric crayon sharpener to sharpen crayons with dull or broken points. Students must use their one box of crayons all year. After months of use, all of their crayons should be sharpened. This crayon sharpener is made to last in a classroom with heavy use.

I am also requesting a gift card to Teachers Pay Teachers to purchase engaging science and math lessons.

Our geometry lessons are short and we need more practice. I found a few quality geometry lessons that are fun and engaging. In first grade students learn about the attributes of 2D and 3D shapes. The gift card would allow me to purchase quality math lessons throughout the year.

I also need more science experiments that teach students about the scientific process. My young scientist would enjoy doing fun experiments about plant and animal life cycles. We would also make dioramas to support our life cycle lessons.
