Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
My students are a wonderful group of 3 year olds eager to learn about the world around them. They are not afraid to push their limits and to overcome difficulties. For many of them it is the first experience in school after months of pandemic and we want to make their year extra special!
My Project
These materials will help young students enter the world of STEM for the first time. They will learn about life cycles, magnets, shapes and natural phenomena. They will experiment with different characteristics of living and non-living things and will use problem solving to form and test hypothesis as they play. The students will be able to use these resources as a support to our chicken hatching program, which allows children to learn about how living things change and grow and how much work is behind raising farm animals and keeping them healthy.
Nearly all students from low‑income households
