I have switched up my morning routine to be soft start centered. This gives students STEM and team-building activities to do in the morning before the school day starts. Students are allowed choice in what they want to do so they can be excited.
By allowing students time to talk and get ready for the school day they are more likely to attend school and be on time.
Students interact with different classmates and learn to work together in a relaxed setting before doing school projects. I have noticed an increase in engagement throughout the day because they are allowed that free time in the morning to talk with their peers.
