My Project
I am striving to give my students a hands-on learning experience while maintaining a safe and engaging learning environment. In our classroom, we have a Maker Space station. This station includes open-ended materials such as tools, wood, gears, electrical components, tubing, and other Maker Space materials. The Maker Space refill materials will allow my students the opportunity to design, build, and engineer projects. The materials will provide experiences for my students to learn beyond a worksheet or textbook.
The materials will significantly impact the learning in my classroom by providing hands-on experiences for my students.
My students will learn engineering, inquiry, problem-solving, and experience problem-based learning in the classroom. Building and testing their designs will allow for an innovative approach to STEM education in the classroom. The Maker Space materials will provide real-world experiences for science, technology, engineering, and math utilizing real tools and materials. The materials will create life-long learners!
