This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

I am a pre-k special education teacher in a social development class with various disabilities and behavioral challenges. I have found that my students love math and science! They are so excited when we do hands-on projects and experiments with building, motion, and velocity. It is like magic to them! They are so engaged and animated! The classroom is filled with their giggles, laughter, and excitement. As a person who did not love math as a student, I want to instill the love and fascination of STEM, especially math at this early age of learning.
