My Students

I have begun a new kindergarten position in a new school district this year. My students are enthusiastic and eager to learn through all different kinds of modalities and experiences. I have been working diligently to prepare an environment that promotes learning through hands-on experiences.

My goal is to make learning fun and interactive so children will gain knowledge through experiences.

Providing my students with a variety of tools to help them learn in more than one way will improve their comprehension of skills.

My Project

The materials I chose for this project will enhance my students' understanding of math and science. The Rekenrek math counting frames allow children to visually learn number sense, addition, and subtraction in a more meaningful way. When introducing three-dimensional shapes, the Geometric Shapes Building Set will help children solidify their understanding of both 2D and 3D shapes, allowing them to articulate differences in these concepts.

Using a hands-on approach to math and science education helps students develop motor skills and improve their basic understanding of these topics.

The creative color cubes will develop a child's spatial awareness and expand their ability to follow instructions.
