Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

My students are interested and come from diverse backgrounds. They are naturally eager to learn and are best engaged through hands-on, interactive activities. Educational toys like LEGO sets, VIAHART Brain Flakes and PicassoTiles will allow them to explore fundamental and complex engineering concepts. These materials foster creativity and critical thinking by enabling students to build everything from simple shapes to intricate 3D models. Additionally, the variety of 'Weird But True' books will complement their reading time with fascinating facts that enhance their knowledge and curiosity about the world.

Each of these resources will be integrated into daily learning activities.

For instance, the Brain Flakes will be used in a weekly engineering challenge where students can create structures based on real-world engineering marvels, enhancing their understanding of geometry and physics. The HEXBUG Nano Land will introduce automation and robotics concepts, capturing the students' imagination and providing foundational knowledge of future technology.

The project aims to create an enriching environment accommodating various learning styles and interests, ensuring every child finds something that excites and challenges them. By providing these diverse resources, I aim to cultivate a classroom atmosphere that encourages exploration and instills a lifelong passion for learning. This approach supports academic growth and personal development as students learn to collaborate, solve problems, and think critically about the world around them.
