Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

My 7th graders are English Language Learners who are eager to grow in science, build math skills, and acquire new language skills. They are curious, hands-on learners who get excited about STEM activities, experiments, graphs, and projects. I admire their persistence, their teamwork, and the joy they bring to exploring new ideas.

How These Resources Will Help

• Durable sheet protectors & fine dry-erase markers → Students can practice analyzing graphs, diagrams, and maps again and again, building math and science vocabulary while saving paper.

• Printer ink → Keeps class materials fresh and accessible, ensuring students always have the visuals and readings they need to succeed.

• Plastic organizers & sign holders → Help students work in organized groups, follow directions independently, and take ownership of their learning.

• Science posters → Provide constant visual reinforcement of science concepts and vocabulary, supporting both content learning and English language acquisition.

• Amazon Echo Show → Acts as a classroom tech hub: displaying timers for labs, sharing visuals, answering content questions, and offering multiple ways for students to access information.

Together, these resources will create an interactive, organized, and language-rich environment where my students can thrive as scientists, mathematicians, and lifelong learners.
