it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
My Pre-K 3 students are bright, imaginative, and eager to learn. They come from a low-income neighborhood where school is often the most stable and joyful part of their day. Many of them are raised by young parents and do not always have access to enriching materials at home. Despite these challenges, they show up excited, ready to explore, and full of potential.
This project will provide hands-on materials like magnetic tiles, building blocks, science kits, and sensory tools that support early STEM learning, emotional regulation, and fine motor development.
These resources will allow my students to engage in imaginative play, explore cause and effect, and build early engineering skills through discovery and collaboration. The sensory items will help students who struggle with focus or emotional regulation feel calm and ready to learn.
My goal is to create a classroom that fosters creativity, curiosity, and confidence. With your support, I can give my students a safe, fun, and inspiring space to learn and grow. These tools will not only support their academic development but also help them build the social and emotional skills they need to thrive.
