My Students

Our students are ready and willing to take on the challenges of a 21st-century education. They have many diverse styles of learning and need exposure to 21st-century learning resources. They need to collaborate with their peers and lead by example.

We are 95% African-American, 2% Haitian-American, 2% Hispanic, and 1% Caucasian with 97% of students receiving free or reduced-price lunch.

Our school is located in the inner city of Miami, Florida. Although our students are faced with many socio-economic challenges, they seek a high-quality education to become productive citizens.

My Project

We are committed to equipping our students for 21st century STEM by building a solid foundation in science, mathematics, engineering and technology concepts. Our students will complete STEM experiments and collaborate virtually with their peers.

The STEM experiment workbooks and headphones will enable students to successfully complete and share their real-world STEM activities online.

Students will present their completed projects to all of their classmates via Zoom and Microsoft Teams. The STEM posters will reinforce the aspects of each STEM component and the roller coaster game will build higher-order thinking skills.

Together, the headphones, science experiment workbooks and STEM posters will supplement the teacher-led instruction for our students.
