I work with approximately 700, 2nd - 4th grade students each year in the STEM Lab. Throughout the year, students are working on projects and challenges in the areas of mechanics and structures, digital communications, circuitry, software engineering, and robotics. I strive to make learning experiences engaging and meaningful with a shifted focus from teacher-led projects to student-driven work.
Because of the disruption of learning during the pandemic students are needing more support and scaffolding for projects and challenges in the STEM lab.
The resources I am requesting will allow for more in-depth interaction and opportunities for whole group projects for students during their time in the lab.
I am requesting the following materials:
White boards, chart tablets, markers, erasers, and post-it notes so that students can engage and interact with their learning.
LEGO baseplates to create an interactive LEGO wall. I am requesting additional baseplate to be used with any projects using LEGO.
Tripod for creating videos to support student learning.
