Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
My students are high spirited, creative, and inquisitive! They all have different learning styles. However they all love to to learn through hands-on, active, engaging projects. They enjoy challenges that allow them to think outside the box to find solutions!
I incorporate a variety of learning strategies, group work, and alternative seating and learning options to ensure that each student's needs are met, right where they are!
They are truly an incredible group, and I am so lucky and blessed to be able to teach them and expand their minds.
My Project
This project will help me to introduce my students to hands on STEM activities. These STEM activity kits will afford my students opportunities to engage in tactile kinesthetic, hands on learning. My students are inquisitive and these kits will help them to develop critical thinking and higher order thinking skills. These STEM kits will also assist my students will improving their abilities to work collaboratively and comprehend the power of team work. Lastly, these interactive kits will also empower my students to participate in accountable talk while using these kits.
