Help me give my students flexible seating, STEM kits and headphones! New classroom, new curriculum as I transition to the Gifted & Talented program flourishing in Brownsville!
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
The flexible seating will bring joy and choice for the students to work and learn together. The headphones are desperately needed because there are very few in our classroom. The printer ink will be used daily for copies and homework assignments.
I am most excited for the simple machines STEM kits for all groups!
Each student will work in a group to discover a problem in the world and create a simple machine invention for the solution. The STEM kits will be utilized in Project- Based Learning and will promote cooperative learning. Scholars will develop a plan of action, write about the need of their invention and ultimately create it. Groups will create a commercial to advertise their invention.
