STEM into Spring!

Help me give my students duct tape, 3-D doodler refills, POP phones for recording, an Osmos Detective Agency kit, and organizational supplies for writing and ELA.

My Students

My third graders are creative, inspiring, innovative, and active. I am so grateful to spend my day learning alongside them. These students are involved in so many activities inside and outside of school, both in the community and outside. Our school itself, is a low income school, in a rural community.

My students are eager to try new things and use their passions for good, and that's why I believe it's my job to give them the education they deserve to receive.

Our class is made up of so many dreamers and inventors, and I can't wait to see where the world takes them.

My Project

The students have been looking forward to a refill in 3D-doodler supplies and duct tape to "beautify" our worn out clipboards for quite some time. I'm excited to be able to write a project that will encourage them to create and explore new resources.

In addition to the above STEM items, I am looking forward to introducing some POP phones for use with recording on our already existing technology in the classroom.

Students will be able to record with these noise cancelling devices, and verbally express their learning. Not only will this encourage healthy discussion, but it will incorporate the many learning styles that exist in the classroom.

Detective agency will be a nice addition to the Osmos collection, as it explores Social studies concepts that connect with our standards in the classroom. I'm excited to offer this as an option for Makerspace time, and expose students to more geography concepts within the school day!
