Teacher Professional Development: I need STEM resource books and hands-on STEM activity labs to increase my knowledge of STEM and the engineering process. <profdevpilot>
Every morning my 4th graders walk into the classroom and ask if we are doing STEM today!
This is my 21st year of teaching in the district.
It is my 13th year at my current school where I have primarily taught 4th grade. We are working on becoming a STEM school for our district where I'm currently teaching 22 4th graders. I have started integrating different STEM activities in the curriculum as the year has progressed.
My Project
I am requesting several STEM related professional development items including Lakeshore STEM books, Lakeshore Physical Science Activity lab kits and STEM books. These items will help me challenge my students to become better at critical thinking and problem solvers. By using this kits and resources I will gain knowledge to enhance my students' learning in the area of STEM in my classroom.
This project will help move my students forward to working together to think critically and problem solve various STEM activities.
These opportunities will help them to be successful in the 21st century.
