My Project
Through the use of an iPad students will be able to engage with interactive simulations, access real-time data from environmental sensors, and participate in virtual field trips. This will be very helpful as we set up our aquaponics lab in January.
The iPad is one of the best technological tools to support STEM learning!
My 8th grade students will have an opportunity to use apps like "The Periodic Table of Elements" that allows students to visually explore and interact with the periodic table and references. Along with "Molecules" app that will allow them to zoom in and out to examine molecular structures at every possible angles. The 7th graders will have access to apps such as "OnScreen DNA Model" which allows students to see the structure and composition of DNA up close and personal. They also can explore 3D cells, the brain, and the heart in 3D with apps such as "3D Cell", "3D Brain", and "Pocket Heart" apps. Additionally, 6th grade students will have an opportunity to learn about astronomy. With apps "Sky Safari" and "Solar Walk" students will learn about the solar system.
By implementing this project, we plan to integrate one of the best learning tools with the district curriculum to better equip our students with 21st century STEM skills. Thanks for your support!
