My Students
My students are considered economically disadvantaged. 100% of the school population receives free lunch. There are few parents who are actively involved in school activities. They do not have anyone at home to help them with assignments.
Many do not have computers at home and a large percentage do not have access to internet.
Students have little to no exposure to technology once the leave the school. This makes ensuring my students are able to compete in a global society extremely difficult.
My Project
Students have little to no exposure to technology once the leave the school. It is very difficult to prepare my students for the future with out of date technology. With this projector, my students will be able to see how science, technology, engineering, and mathematics relate to their lives.
I want my students to not only use technology in the classroom, but be able to contribute to the research and development of technology for the future.
This will allow them to take the knowledge they learned and apply it to something useful in not only their lives, but the lives of their community.
