This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
Please help me encourage my young learners to be interested in STEM related activities by giving them a center to explore through play. Our classroom is a place of magic, imagination, learning and fun. I believe that exposing children to a variety of engaging activities at this young of an age will allow them experiences that they may not be afforded anywhere else. Our school is located in what was called "The Poorest City in America". The population living below the poverty line and the amount of migrant students coming to school in our border town mean that many of these children are at risk. I take being their teacher as a calling to ensure that these young learners are given the same opportunities as other school children across the country.
