My class this year will be young children still learning and loving their experience in the educational system. I will have a very diverse group of students from the community with many different backgrounds. Some will have amazing support at home when others will not. All students love hands-on, and visual learning experiences that will develop their minds.
My students want to learn how to become creative and independent thinkers.
They enjoying the STEM approach to learning, because they can use many different approaches to complete the work. The students love to learn new things through the hands on STEM approach.
My Project
In our first-grade class we talk in science about the change in weather and how plants grow and what is important about plants getting their needs met.
With the earth science climate change kits, we will be able to do some hands-on experiments in small groups to see the why the weather changes and how it happens.
We can investigate these things over time and make our students become investigative thinkers.
Also teaching the students to be persistent and keep trying even if we fall short the first time. Students need to learn how to try again until they become successful.
