So, having the funds to purchase quality headphones has a lasting impact of good for my students.\r\n The most exciting thing about the headphones is that students can hear the lessons and activities they are doing on their ipads. There are a number of apps and tools the students use on their ipads such as supplemental math and reading programs, educational games, Nearpod lessons, etc., Currently, my students do a daily one minute reading fluency timing where they record their retell of a story. My students have thrived with the new whiteboards. I am able to put them in smaller groups and have more engagement within the groups. As I walk around, there is more accountability in their learning since there are only two students in the group. One student does the talking and the other student does the writing. Then they trade places so that each student has a turn at writing and talking. The vertical learning time has provided the students with more practice with their peers. Students learn differently with each other and they have a stronger knowledge of the concept after working in their vertical learning groups.\r\n\r\nThe privacy folders have been so helpful when the students are working individually or taking tests. The students are required to use them when they are taking tests, but they have the option to use them when they are completing their class work.
